Shem Creek to Dunes West, Mount Pleasant's creekfront neighborhoods are bulkhead country — and most of those walls went in when the houses did, which means a lot of them are due.
The big Mount Pleasant story is age cohort: subdivisions along Shem Creek, Hobcaw, Molasses Creek, and the Wando built out in waves, and their original timber bulkheads are hitting 25–40 years in brackish water more or less together. Anchor corrosion and whaler rot at the splash zone are the usual first finds.
ICW and Wando wake exposure adds toe scour on the outer-facing properties. Catching scour before the toe undermines is the difference between stone protection and a rebuild.
Services available here: seawall repair, bulkhead repair, full replacement, and riprap & erosion control.
